Data Architect

ABOUT LHV

We're building a bank the world actually needs – modern, sharp and genuinely human. We started in Estonia, growing through grit and high standards. Now we're taking on the UK and Europe. The next chapter is about doing the most ambitious work we've ever done, and changing how people experience money.

We run on three values: No Bullshit, Agile, and Never Satisfied. They're not wall art. They're how we make decisions, push each other and show up every day.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

You'll drive the evolution of our data platform and play a key role in modernizing our data landscape, while being hands-on.

In this role, you will design our core data models and semantic layer, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders to turn raw business requirements into sound technical architecture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that make our data consistent, understandable, and reusable across the organisation

  • Support the implementation of our data governance framework: data standards, data ownership, metadata management, and data quality principles

  • Design and develop the semantic layer that provides analysts and business users with a single, consistent view of our data and metrics

  • Support the analytics team in automating data flows and reporting, and in adopting best practices in data modelling

  • Collaborate closely with analysts, data engineers, risk management, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into sound data architecture

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience as a data architect, data modeller, or in a similar role

  • Strong expertise in data modelling techniques and experience with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake)

  • Experience designing and building semantic layers (e.g. dbt, Tableau semantic models or similar)

  • Good understanding of ML Ops/AI principles and the requirements for running machine learning solutions in production

  • Systems thinking and the ability to translate business language into technical architecture and back

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions to both technical and business audiences

  • Proficiency in Estonian language is preferred

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

  • Build something that lasts long after you've moved on

  • Work with ambitious colleagues who value innovation and move fast

  • Enjoy the freedom to experiment and the ownership to build real impact

  • Grow professionally and personally through meaningful opportunities

THE FUTURE WE'RE BUILDING

Banking has been ugly, slow and impersonal for too long. We're fixing that with solutions that respect people's intelligence and technology that actually works for them.

If that sounds like the kind of problem worth working on, let's talk.
